Make cleaning bottles, jars and those awkward-to-reach spaces a little easier with the LoofCo Coconut Coir Bottle Brush.

I chose the plastic-free bottle brush as a practical alternative to conventional synthetic cleaning brushes.  It is handmade in Sri Lanka using coconut coir fibre twisted around a galvanised metal core, with a comfortable rubberwood handle and handy string loop for hanging after use.

The long, curved brush head is designed to reach inside bottles, jars, tall glasses and reusable drinks containers, helping you clean areas that ordinary dish brushes can struggle to reach.

It's also useful for cleaning items before recycling, along with dishwasher filters, juicer parts and other awkward kitchen equipment.

Why I chose it

  • Made using natural coconut coir fibres
  • Plastic-free cleaning brush
  • Rubberwood handle made from rubber trees that have finished producing latex
  • Long, curved design for reaching inside bottles and jars
  • Useful for reusable water bottles, tall glasses and kitchen equipment
  • Handmade in Sri Lanka
  • Hanging loop helps the brush dry between uses
  • Durable and designed for repeated use
  • Natural materials provide an alternative to conventional plastic washing-up brushes

How to use

Rinse thoroughly before use.

Immerse the brush in warm water and use with your usual washing-up liquid or washing-up soap bar.  Push the curved coir brush gently inside bottles, jars or glasses and rotate to clean the inner surfaces.

After use, rinse well and hang using the string loop to allow it to dry naturally.

Size

  • Brush head: approximately 16cm x 3 cm
  • Rubberwood handle: approximately 10cm x 2 cm
  • Total length: approximately 26cm
  • Widest point: approximately 6cm

Materials

Coconut coir fibre, galvanised metal core, rubberwood handle and string hanging loop.
