A reusable double-edge safety razor with a long bamboo handle and stainless steel safety guard, designed to replace disposable plastic razors.

Jungle Culture's Bamboo Safety Razor combines a long bamboo grip with a weighted metal head for a traditional double-edge shave.  It uses standard double-edge blades, so only the blade needs replacing rather than the whole razor.  The razor is supplied in a plastic-free kraft paper gift box, with blades sold separately.

Why we stock this

We stock this because the reusable part of the shaving system stays in use.  Instead of replacing a plastic cartridge or disposable razor each time, the bamboo handle and metal razor head are retained while only the small double-edge blade is changed.

We alo checked the construction rather than relying on the phrase "zero waste".  The razor combines bamboo with durable metal components, uses widely available standard double-edge blades and comes in plastic-free kraft packaging.

How to use

1. Unscrew the razor head.
2. Place a standard double-edge blade between the two metal head sections.
3. Reassemble securely.
4. Apply shaving soap or cream.
5. Hold the razor at around a 45-degree angle.
6. Use slow, straight strokes, rather than sideways movements.
7. Rinse the head during shaving.
8. Dry the razor thoroughly after use.

Care

Rinse after use and dry the bamboo handle and metal head thoroughly.  Avoid leaving the razor sitting wet, as this can shorten the life of both the bamboo and the blade.

Good to know

This razor does not include blades.  It takes standard double-edge safety razor blades, which are widely available separately.

Blade disposal

Store used blades securely in a blade disposal tin available at EcoElara and follow your local authority or recycling provider's guidance for disposal.  Never place loose razor blades directly into household recycling.
